Due to several works like wall painting, your carpeted living room gets dirty. One portion coloured with the fall of paints during wall painting or placing freshly painted chairs on the carpet makes your carpet look bad. In order to keep it maintained, you need to clean it.
It is hard to remove paint stain. It requires special care in cleaning. With proper care, your carpeted living room or other place will become the same as earlier. Here are a few ways to treat the stain of all major paints:
For Acrylic Paint
Use glycerine to the stain of Acrylic Paint and blot up. Take away the leftover residue along with rubbing alcohol. Come back to the remaining stain with a water and mild detergent. Use sponge to clean up the paint and vacuum to dry.
For Oil-Based Paint
You need to act fast to remove the stain of oil-based paint as such paints will permanently stain your carpet if you leave it too long. Use mineral spirits and turpentine to treat the paint stain. For dried paint, strictly apply turpentine. Use the liquid and blot up with paper towels. Scar the area by rubbing alcohol in order to remove any left chemical residue. At last, use sponge with water and a mild detergent to clean the rest stain.
For Latex Paint
Disfigure as much pain as possible. Mix a teaspoon of a neutral detergent with a cup of warm water to make a cleaning solution. Apply this solution to the stain caused to latex paint and blot up as much as possible. Keep repeating the method till the stain is removed.
For Water-Based Paint
Scar the paint as you can. Keep blotting with the use of a bit of vinegar or water. At last, add dish soap or a mild detergent and rinse and blot with water. Avoid using too much water to stop the spread of the stain.
For All Paint
Don’t be late. Let the paint not to dry. Stop the spread when the paint falls on the carpet with the use of paper towels. Avoid rubbing the carpet fibres. Blot up as you can. Test the hard chemicals before applying them on the carpet stain area. At last, cut or remove the area if the dried paint stain doesn’t come out.
